Description
The Modern Commemorative Coin Program for United States Coins is one of the most extensive programs taken up by the U.S. Mint.
It was first commenced in 1982 to celebrate the 250th birth anniversary of George Washington. This is a program that is authorized by the US Government and is released almost every year to honor famous American people, events, places, and institutions.
